Monarch Butterfly Numbers On the Rise

According to a Texas A&M researcher, monarch butterfly numbers appear to be up as much as 144 percent to total population of approximately 300 million. Increased conservation of milkweed, the only type of food that the caterpillars can eat, is credited with their increased survival. The press release from the University can be found here.
