50 years ago today, Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong became the first humans to walk on the moon, and Apollo 11 Command Module Pilot Michael Collins briefly disappeared behind the lunar disk, becoming the first person to experience space completely alone. You can follow NASA’s special events here.
